13 Must have items in every girl's wardrobe

The start of each new season brings about a lot of fashion decisions, like “What should I invest in?”, “What new trends are worth following?”, and “How much should I spend?”
But end up spending on useless things or things which will not work after few time.

Some pieces are the basic building blocks of a well-rounded closet.
These are definitely investment pieces, so don’t be afraid to splurge on certain ones if the time is right. They’re classics and (if you take care of them) can last for years or even decades. Your closet should be a curated collection of your absolute favorite items that bring you joy. That way, you’ll actually wear what you own and your wardrobe won’t be a source of stress each morning as you get dressed.

None of us know how long this quarantine will last, but a closet with a reliable foundation of clothes will make it easier for you to maintain your new work-from home-routine (not to mention, help you get back up to speed once the coronavirus has passed). That’s why the concept of a wardrobe staple is so enduring: A closet built on a streamlined selection of items makes day-to-day dressing infinitely easier.

And without further ado, let’s jump right in!

1. Basic Denims

Jeans that never go out of style? Jeans are an everyday staple that can be worn to virtually every occasion.
Although skinny, boyfriend, and trouser-style jeans are more modern, it’s still important to have an oh-so-classic pair of dark-wash, boot-cut jeans in your closet.
Investing in a few quality pairs that will last is definitely a splurge we can justify.

2. White shirt

If you will be working, going to interviews, or even just looking polished for a nice dinner anytime soon, a white dress shirt should be your new BFF.
the button-up shirt always strikes a balance between looking casual and polished. Wear it with jeans or a pencil skirt depending on where you need to be. Don't forget to see how to to style white shirt in different ways

3. Jean jacket

When it’s April, but the mornings feel like February and the afternoons remind you of August—that’s when your jean jacket really comes in handy.A classic medium wash is the most versatile option.
Throw this casual, lightweight layer over anything—a breezy sundress, a cozy turtleneck, a T-shirt and leggings—for an instant outfit upgrade.

Styling tip: “Look for a jean jacket that fits on your shoulders, but still has some room for sweaters in the fall and sundresses in the summer.”

4. Basic tees

Start your outfit off with a clean slate. The staple white tee is versatile, cool and a piece that’s you can wear any day of the year.
It should be a staple in every woman’s wardrobe. Pair a white tee with your favorite pair of denim, underneath a party skirt with a great jacket, or on the weekends with leggings. Any way you style it, a basic tee is a must. Here's how to style white tee in different ways

5. White sneakers

White sneakers are as close to non-negotiable as wardrobe basics come.
Be they slip-ons or lace-ups, fashionable or functional, a pair of fresh white sneakers won’t go unworn.
Jeans, trousers, or a pencil skirt, the correct pair of sneakers will almost be a perfect accessory for all your outfits. They're my absolute favorite.

6. Good quality tote bag

Invest in a solid tote that you can carry from work to drinks, or take on your weekend getaway. A couple features we look for in a tote bag: enough room for a laptop and an interior pocket to store your smaller essentials.

7. Little black dress

I have nothing to wear” throw-on-and-go piece, a little black dress is a true must-have in every fashion girl’s wardrobe. Pair it with a leather jacket and you’re good to go.
Look for classic knee-length sleeveless sheath styles. Go for an LBD with a high neckline and a semi-modest length for maximum versatility from day to night. “The first step to finding your perfect dress? Know your body shape, then pick your silhouette.”

8. Blazers

A figure-flattering blazer is an absolute must have. A perfect piece to keep you from getting too cold, for those business meetings, and for an evening out, it works every way. Blazers look fantastic over almost any dress in your closet! Finish the look with a statement necklace and ankle boots.

9. Knee length skirts

A knee-length skirt is versatile enough to be casual, work-friendly and appropriate for more formal settings.

10. Comfortable flats

We all have that one pair of flats that work with everything (from jeans and a tee to a simple black dress) and can be worn from work to drinks to weekend playdates. A pair of simple black ballet flats will carry you through the seasons — and years.
Go for a cap-toe style for preppy polish that’s at the top of the trends this season.

11. A pair of black heels

A classic pair of black pumps will never fail you or your outfits. They’re the perfect shoe option to wear for your 9-to-5, happy hour, or a weekend night with jeans . Invest in a quality pair that you feel comfortable and confident in, and can work across your wardrobe.

12. Light weight scarf

Scarves are one of those things that most people don’t specifically set out to buy, but always end up with anyway. My mind is blown by how much more stylish, intentional, and complete an outfit can look with just the simple addition of a scarf!
There are just so many cool things you can do with it!
Wrapping it around an updo, and knotting it right where your hairline meets your forehead
Try tying a scarf around a handle on your purse
Around your waist as a belt

13. Red lipstick

The key to confidence : Bold red pouty lips.
This is a must have in your wardrobe.

As you add to your closet over the years, don’t be afraid to dabble in new trends that you fall in love with! Wardrobe staples like these will play the supporting role to those star-studded pieces that you sprinkle in each season.

Do you have all of these pieces? Some of them? Can you think of any basic fundamental pieces that i left out?
