Look expensive in ethnic wear

Who don't love looking luxury and put together? Everyone does. But we don't have tons and tons of money to spend on clothes and specially Indian clothes.
Because school girls love wearing jeans ,tops and shorts.
But weddings and festive seasons force us to buy some ethnic pieces to go with occasions.
But designer outfits are way costly. But there are many ways to dress smartly and look like million bucks.
It's all about gathering right colours and pieces and coordinate them well.

Here are some simple ways to look expensive but in your budget :

1. Fabric:

Choose your fabric wisely. The most important thing to look expensive and luxury is choosing the right and perfect fabric.
Silks have their own place when it comes to ethnic wear.
Go for classy fabrics like silk , chiffon , linen, cotton , pure crepe. And rather than net go for lace fabrics like aurganza.

2. Appropriate fit:

Avoid wearing baggy clothes if you want to look expensive. Baggy outfits never catch attention.
So a good tailor is a must. Make sure that your outfit has the proper fit.

3. Wear crop tops with ethnic skirts:

Give your ethnic skirt a new and expensive look. Pair them with a crop top. Wear a western crop top with ethnic skirt to give a fusion look.
If your skirt is solid go for zardozi , mirror worked and embroidered crop top.

4. Statement pieces:

People go with heavy jewellery when it comes to ethnic wear and end up looking tacky. Chill bro. You are not a bride. Stick to statement jewellery. If you don't like heavy jewellery get yourself a real gold or diamond pendent for people to notice.

5. Be specific about colours and prints:

For looking expensive try to avoid wearing earthy tones.
Go for pastels and vibrant jewel tones. They soothe eyes and look quite luxurious.
For a day event stick to pastels and nude shades. And for evening events go for glitters but avoid too much of it.

Stay away away away from big floral prints.

6. Layering:

This is equally important for both western and indian outfits. A third layer over a simple outfit enhances and elevates the entire look.
Try out capes over maxis and sarees. Trying out capes over your outfits add a glamour to your outfit and make it look outstanding and stylish.

7. Makeup:

When it comes to makeup with your ethnic wear go with matte and nude look.
Go for matte foundation and concealer.

8. Smell good:

No outfit is complete without a good perfume on you. When it comes to perfume choose the best perfume to smell well and look expensive. This is one of the biggest factor of all.

These were some of my experiences about the ethnic wear. Hope you Loved them all.
